Re:wild

Partnering with Re:wild while on contract with Rose Digital. Re:wild is a global conservation organization. I helped lead the UX product strategy and website redesign to help them transition to a modern, scalable web platform. My work focused on aligning their digital experience with their ambitious fundraising and storytelling goals, ensuring the website could grow with their evolving mission.

Founding story
Re:wild was founded in 2021 through a collaboration between Global Wildlife Conservation and a collective of renowned conservation scientists and advocates, including Leonardo DiCaprio. The organization is committed to protecting and restoring the wild as a solution to the climate crisis and biodiversity loss. They aim to empower communities, protect wildlife, and safeguard ecosystems worldwide.
The Challenge
• Tight Fundraising Deadlines: The organization faced a critical timeline tied to its fundraising initiatives and needed a rapid digital relaunch of its website.
• Outdated Web Infrastructure: Their existing website lacked flexibility, modern design capabilities, and scalability for future campaigns.
• Complex Stakeholder Alignment: The project involved balancing the needs of conservation experts, marketing teams, engineers, and leadership to meet the organization's goals.
The Solutions
• Website Redesign: Helped the complete UX/UI redesign to improve user experience and align with Re:wild's bold conservation messaging.
• Headless CMS Migration: Seamlessly transitioned the website to a new headless CMS, enabling easier content management and future scalability.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitated workshops and requirements gathering from conservation SMEs, marketing, engineering, and executive teams to ensure clarity of deliverables.
• User-Centered Design: Applied best practices in color theory, heuristics, journey mapping, and accessibility to create a meaningful and engaging digital experience.
• Process Leadership: Oversaw backlog management, created Statements of Work (SOWs), and maintained accurate project scopes wearing the hat of the project manager.
